I saw a post somewhere and they said that all you have to do is pull off the front bellhousing cover and swap it to the z32 trans. but in this post they bebuild and cut the trans up. Can someone say "yes" or "no" if it can be done that simply. or if not can you please explain why you can. i have the option to get a z32 tt trans and instead of paying 1g for rb25 trans. any help ?

I'm not to keen on this but I've had a Z31 transmission before and it looked identical to the RB25 transmission...The FS5R30A

I do know that when you get a shifter bushing for an RB25, that is the transmission that it cross reference's to in the US.

The front bell section is swappable between both trans (the z32 n/a or tt, and the R33, non neo rb25det).

Are you 100% positive that all you do is swap the front bellhousing cover? What to do about the shifter linkage? do i leave it there and the shifter be four inches backwards?

If you want to deal with a rear case portion swap, then you have a lot more work involved (hence RBZ32 thread).

Or, you can try this approach....

Those pics aren't showing up anymore. How did that linkage jig end up working out for you? I'm going to try something similar this winter.
