z32 300zx fuel filter in a 240sx

I was doing some searching and though I saw metion of people getting them, I could not find out what exactly was the benifit of useing the 300zx filter. Can somebody enlighten me. And is it an upgrade for all 240's or just certain years. I wonder cause I have a 89 and I got one of the 300zx filters but wanted to find out the whole story before I do this.

So it will work on a 89 model? Doesn't have to be a 91 or up? And last question is it hard to get in their, I notice it has alot more girth to it compared to the stock one.

yea it will work on any model no its pretty easy just pull the hoses off and put them on the new one. basiclly it just flows the fuel through a little faster.

errr.. the last time I checked, the 300Z (non turbo) and the 240SX shared the same fuel filter. I went to Autozone and asked about it, and sure enough, both had the same part number.

On my 300zx Nissan Fuel Filter box there is no application for the 240sx. Autozone may use the same filter but Nissan does not.

ya....i went to Pepboys (ewwww) and bought a 300ZX filter and it's much bigger. And there really is no difference, except I thought it was cheaper or something, and bigger. And I had absolutely no problem w/ the install. It just plugged right in where the stock one went w/ a little muscle.
