I am currently building my '88 n/a -> turbo conversion motor, and I want to get a t3/t04e slapped on before I put her back together. I was wondering if anyone could tell me a good a/r and trim for her. I plan on pushing 12psi or so off the t3/t04e and my power goal is 340whp. Thanks!

Stock fuel ?

if so you wont reach your goal-

go with a 57 trim t04e with a .63 housing and a stage 3 wheel if thats your ideal hp goal.

I was told that a walbro and an adjustable FPR should cut 12 pounds - what do you think? If I have to i'll buy the whole greddy emanage setup. I just didn't want to spend a grand on fuel management unless i had to. (btw, thanks for the reply - not enough of that happening this side of the board :-) )

fuel pump and a adj. fpr will be fine for stock injectors on 12lbs. but thats it-

Greddy e-manage won't work either.

with fpr fuel pump and a upgraded turbo you should see high 200 hp. and 3 somthing torque. .

whihc should net you low 13 sec time slips.

There's a lot of other stuff I have planned. A friend of mine was running 12.8 with half the mods I have planned and still using the T3, but he was also pushing 18 pounds through his. If it's not too much trouble, could ya explain why e-manage won't work? I have no first hand experience w/ fuel management systems (never had a car that warrented it 'till now :-) and I was under the impression those fuzzy logic piggy backs were pretty universal. Thanks again.

Yea there pretty universal for ecu's that can think as uick as it can. lol

your ecu is a 8 bit unit. nothing will work beside hks afr and that requires additional parts to get it to work and is just a pain. the stock ecu does a good job of learning the car as to more fuel psi and etc.. i would throw on a fpr and set pressure and go from there lil increments with bc to see as far as you can go then back donw some.. also get a dyno run when you "think" it is safe boost level and check the a/f ratio i bet it will be lean. Your buddy was lucky. the stock injectors are 259cc so anything over 12 psi on stock regulator is too muhc. and with a fpr can only prolly bring the a/f ratio to correct at 12psi. more psi doesnt mean more power. just more heat. 18psi lean will run slower than 12-13 psi a/f corrected.

ya, he eventually killed her. such a shame too - beautiful car. i'm pretty set on 12 pounds max, stock boost daily, and maybe 10 sometimes - never more than 12.

"anything over 12 psi on stock regulator is too muhc." - so I wouldn't need new injectors or an adjustable FPR to pull 12 pounds outta the stock T3 safely? i'm really worried about the high compression my engine's running (a hair over 9:1 now that heads have been resurfaced) and I'll prolly get an alcohol injection kit w/ boost switch @ 10psi. I just can't justify buying a T3/T04E and never really putting it to good use. That money could go into getting a LSD or something.

Spend money on a nice fmic and a fpr. you'll be fine. always run 93 octane. don't boost over 10 with out a fmic.
