Z31 turbo question.

How reliable is Z31 turbo exhaust outlet and downpipe?is it good for 300 whp?thanks

Didn't realize exhausts had a reliability rating. They are prone to rust though.

Stock exhaust will support up to 300hp, but you would be so much happier with the power increases a full 3" exhaust would get you.

i meant...... I did a search, some people said stock turbo outlet can only support 280hp. I want to make my piping all 3 inch but stock outlet is very small. i think it's about 2.25 or 2.5 inch.

no, the outlet is 2.75ish inches. Just take a dremel to the outlet and smoothen it out a little so you can use a standard 3in, 3 bolt flange with it. That's what i did on mine.

there are at least 2 different turbo's and 2 different downpipes on the Z31, your results may vary

mine is one with water cooler, so i assum that it's from 86-89.
