z31 turbo in ka24de

Hi guys. a z31 turbo good for ka24de project.spools ok. i heard will not kick in till 3500 rpm and up.turbo lag? who makes exhaust manifold that z31 turbo be under the manifold, and will be far from the a/c compressor.the reason why z31 turbo wast gate made one piece with the down pipe.one more question,any body has used the jgstools kit, and isit strong the turbo is heavy.what you guys think about mutsibishi eclipse turbo i heard will start kicking in on low rpm(2000 rpm) is that true pleas help the project is waiting on this info. tnkxxxxxxxxxxx:help

suppose to be a T3 on the Z31. From what I've heard, Rev Hard makes a quality manifold for the T3, T4 series turbos. Which most/all manifolds for the 240 is for the T3, T4 series turbos. Unsure if it is top or bottom mount.

I have driven an Talon ESI and boost felt more like it kicked in around 2800 to 3000. But I didn't drive the DSM but a time or two. I don't think you will find anyone making a manifold for the mitsu turbo charger. Someone correct me if I am not right....

What exactly are you wanting to do, power out put??? The T3 out of a Z31 is the economical way to go. And I don't you will be up set with the minor lag on the t3. IMO I would not go with anything smaller than the T3 and personally I would go with one of the T04 series turbos if I had the money.

Surely there is some other members here with more experience with turbos than I am, that can be more helpfull than I can, that will hopfully answer up.

i wanna turbo my 1990 KA24E, and i was thinkin of an old turbo from a z31. i was wondering how much they are, if you've looked? about the manifold thing, there's a shop in my town, and if you make the flange that mounts to the engine block, and the flange that mounts to the turbo, and you decide where you want it, they'll make all the tubes for it. you should ask around the shops where you live.

The turbo from a Z31 is in fact a garrett T3.If you're lucky you can get one for free,but I've seen Z31 and Z32 turbos go for as low as $150 on ebay(the next day could be $500).But this is for the turbo alone.Best thing to do is go pull one from the scrap yard.
