Want some opinions if i should get one installed. The TB is 60mm versus the KA's at 50mm.

i could be wrong, but i don't think it'll bolt up to the KA's manifold.

i think that the z31 throttle body is smaller than the ka's because i ve got an m30 and it has the same engine as the z31 and on the infinte forums they switch to the 240's throttle body because its bigger but they do bolt up as long as you have a ka24e

I think a KA24DE throttle body is something like 70mm, but I don't know if it will bolt up.

yes, i do believe z31 users use the sohc ka TB. at least many of those with custom manifolds do.

The ka24e and z31 are interchangeable, but the 240sx one is bigger. Many z31 owners use the 1990 240 TB.

where did you get your info about 60mm? That puzzles me because i had a z31 for a while when i was younger, and all the info i got said to use the 1990 240sx TB, that it would "bolt right on" to the z31 mani and was a great deal bigger than the z31's. Maybe a z32 would be bigger, but i dont think it would bolt on at all.

i have a spare tb i picked up at a junkyard, but it's from a Q45 and it's 85mm. i would bet it won't fit, but if you need bigger, it's much bigger.

yeah somebody got it all backwards. But anyway i dont think that with our intake manifolds and everything that it really would be a great improvement (especially with a turbo) even if it was bigger.

it would be nice if they made afetrmarket intake manifolds so we could actually have real use of bigger throttle bodies .

Yup, someone gave him some bad info. I am into Z's as well as 240sx's. KA24E TB's are a bolt in perf upgrade for the Z cars. stock for the L28E's is 50mm, VG30E is like 52ish and the L28ET is 55mm I beleive. then your KA24E's are 60mm. if you put a KA24E TB on a L28E and just port match it to the manifold, it'll pick up roughly 10% hp at the wheels! kinda sick when you realize just how corked up that motor is....

Will a q45 TB with a custom manifold be advatages on a turbo app. I have one of these and know some one who could weld one up for me. Do you think this will kill all my low end power, i can live with a small lost but not an overkill any opinions?
