Got the z about a year ago and it has just under 100k on the ticker. Traded in my 04 spec-v for my wife to get her 2010 scooby impretzel. I've been driving an 04 Hyundai Accent pos as my dd, and was looking for a targa/t-top/vert to mess around with. My wife came across this on CL and we made the trip down from Jersey to VA that day to pick it up. To be honest, I didn't even know what a shiro was when I picked it up. Had very minor issues when I got it (vacuum lines needed to be replaced, and timing was way off causing detonation at WOT).

I've been doing maintenance work on it so far (brake pads, fuel filter, spark plugs, disty cap and rotor, plug wires, fluids, etc). No mods besides a k&n filter and an older style turboxs mbc.
Next up will be the timing belt and CHTS.

I have the stock ss wheels (need to get some rubber) and I'm hoping to get a stock ss lip (not a fan of the kaminari lip as it sticks out too far) to get her back to looking stock (she doesn't even look like an ss). Then maybe just a small drop with some eibachs and an exhaust (it looks like there is a pacesetter muffler, as it has the yellow trim by the muffler tips).

Once I get the wheels and lip, the whole car needs a respray (some replaced parts on the front end are a different color and starting to show through) and a shimmy on the body parts as some are slightly misaligned. Then the hunt for some misc parts here and there (fog light glass, shift boot, knob, and some plastics). Not a bad canvas to start with. Previous owner recently put on 4 new tires, new shocks (kyb gas-a-justs), rotors, battery, and stock exhaust. I'm just glad there is no rust.

beautiful shiro, more and more of these cars are just getting ragged beyond the point of salvation, nice o see one being cared for, be sure to keep your stock suspension bits if you drop it, they are NLA and it's nace to be able to ruturn a rare car to stock spec one day

Indeed, it seems everytime I post pictures, I always hear 'zomgz, monster truck, drop it'. My driveway is on an incline, and I'd really have to see clearance with the stock lip.
There is a gentlemen on z31performance who used to make the molds and I am #2 on his list, but he has sold the mold to a company which can keep up with the demand. So hopefully the price won't skyrocket.

Just bugs me that the previous owner got rid of the 2 main exterior cues which show it is a shiro (the wheels and the lip). I understand the stock wheels are nothing fantastic, but as you note, its worth keeping something rare as it is in stock spec. I'm not a fan of the kaminari lip nor the TSW nogaros but those can easily be changed.
