My seats are absolutely crap. The leather is coming off and the seats have a bunch of rips in them with the foam fall out and as i was going over them yesterday i found a bunch of pine needles in the seat as a form of support..

My question is what cars (if any) have similar seat brackets as the the Z31?

just adapt the chosen seats to the Z31 tracks, shame is I just scrapped 3 good cloth Z31 seats, pulsars have great light seats, mr2s also have good lightweight seats, miata seats are popular for swapping into just about everything

See I have power seats and I would actually convert to manual. Now I'm pretty sure the brackets are the same as the power but could I use the power seat bracket with a miata manual seat per say?

I know that that is dumb but I have never looked at the seats mounting points.

Yeah I know that anything can fit in anything but like in the S chassis, all of seat brackets are the so all the seats are interchangable. That is what I'm trying to find a seat that is interchangable with my Z31 due to a lack of Z31 parts in my area.

No one has found any that are a bolt in swap. But with a little patience, just about any seat can be made to work. Might be as simple as swapping frame rails. Might be a bit more difficult than that.

it took me 8 hours to fab up my s30 rails to my seats. the seats are ebay seats out of a civic haha. but i was learning to do it. simple fab work is all that it would take to do it.

Your about 5 1/2 hours and 375 miles. It's going to be about $80 in gas, I Bet I could get them shipped for that much.

Not to dredge up an old topic, but this came up via a Google search and I have to ask if anything is different in terms of the seat rails if I have a full-power seat that I want to replace. I get it, there'll be wiring to disconnect and such, but the seat is fairly beat and I'd like to eventually get something more supportive in there because I'm in it for easily 2 hours a day.

Okay, so at least that's consistent and I have that working for me. Cool, thanks!
