I have an 88 300ZX NA. It won't rev over 2000rpms for some reason. If you try to give it more gas, it seems to bog down like the engine is flooding. The spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are all new. Any ideas?

probably air flow meter . unplug it and rev the engine should rev the same as it did when it was connected. if so i would say airflow has taken a trip south.

i had the same problem in my 86 z turbo. what i did was change the fuel filter (8 bucks), and plugs and wires.

if its not that it could be the fuel pump. try injector cleaner first. but definately get the fuel pump checked out

Yip it's the A.F.M. at fault ,I had the same problem and replaced the air flo meter and it was cured straight away ,it took less than 5 min.to get the car running properly. So save yourself the time and trouble looking for things that will just upset and confuse you and get a A.F.M. and it WILL be sorted.cheers
