Z31 Parts Worth

I got an 86 300zx stock minus aftermarket radio and 3 in exhaust (bought it like that) and someone was saying they could get 1g-1400 for just the engine and transmission alone. it's a parts car/project. was just wondering if it's really worth this and where I can sell it. if anyone's interested it's got body damage, a broken front right compression tension rod (I think that's what it's called, it connected the lower control arm to the frame of the car), and a lot of electrical issues. radio turns on but speakers don't play, car has a power drain and my friend connected the battery the wrong way on accident after I changed the alternator so it currently doesn't start, but it's the original engine 183k miles on the car, new tires, and no problems with either the engine or trans. if you're interested email [email protected] I'm located in Virginia Beach. otherwise I would love som info on where to find someone I can sell the engine and trans/other parts to. it's a non turbo t top missing the glass on the right top

Ummm..., Out of kindness I'll leave this post. You just a made your first post and it's a very poorly written classified, you did at least include your location. The car is worth scrap IMHo which is around $350 at last check. The engine if you can prove it runs is worth $300-500, the trans assuming it's a 5 speed is worth about $150 and worthless if it's an automatic. You could part the car out and sell off all the bits piece meal and make a few more bucks but not being that car isn't running and driving and you don't know what wrong with it everything is condition unknown. Someone put a 3" exhaust on a non-turbo? LMFAO.

Anyway.... As evildky points out, you're sitting on about $1000 total if you part the whole thing out and IF the motor runs. But as it stands, the car is about $250 in scrap.
