.63 turbine housing is the same thing as AR. So it has a .63 AR with a stg 1 wheel. No idea what the CR side is or what stg wheel. Just curious, but why do you need the info??

I'm needing to know how far the '85-'87 t3 can be pushed in stock form.....http://www.z31 says 10psi on the 300zx. Our motor (ka24) it could be 12+

With a nice FMIC and fuel to support your boost, I'd say not more then 14.7 or 1 bar. I know quite a few aussie guys running 1 bar. But like I said, they have the supporting systems. If the turbine does take a crap on you, you can always pick up another for a really good price.

The best thing to do would be to use an intake air charge temp gauge. When you reach a turbines max potential, it will start to become a heat pump. Then you'll get compressor surge and shortly thereafter she'll unass one of her wheels. Hope that helps some.

If you buy my kit, lets just say the install will be damn cheap. If not, I'll be extremely fair. Just depends on the amount of work it req's. Could be 100 bucks...

I think someone said the z31 has an internal wastegate is that good for more than 10psi and hard is it to adjust it??

I push t3, no IC on z31 up to 14psi on pump gas &(18-20 psi on 114octane) but thats only becuase the injectors run out of fuel. That is also with like 12 degrees advance. The Z31 T3 would be awesome on a KA24. Specially since it doesnt look like many people boost KA past 10psi, and it seems like everyone runs an IC so it would be like a perfect turbo. If you have a descent IC you can run that turbo to 14+psi with no probs as long as you have fuel to match :) Yes it is internal waste gate as long as you use the Z31 down pipe and the z31 actuator is set at like 6psi, setting up a boost controller is very easy. I ran a hallman on mine and it was solid at whatever i set it at.

Yep, the Z31 is internally gated, but you regulate boost the same way as a external type. The wastegate will likely creep open at anything over 15psi. Mostly because the actuator is to weak.

if this is true..I mean about the .60 compressor housing, then would it be a problem to fit a t04e compressor wheel onto a z31 turbo? theoretically, it sounds doable. WD-how would that work?

they are .60/.63 T3 turbos. '85-'86 atleast, I believe that 87+ took over with a T25 that was a whole lot smaller,

I know that this is an old thread, but a decent one...what about those .60/.63 t3's how well do they boost?

Pretty well. I have a Turbonetics T3 .60/.63. Dynoed 224 to the wheels at 10psi, but I had other problems then. It pulls a little better since I fixed the idle air boost leak.

Any news of how these would work with a t04e compressor wheel fit into the housing? T04E housings use the .60, and so does the t04e...so how about using the t04e wheels? or the t04b wheels? That would make more power per pound of boost.

Sounds like somthing I would play with if I was going to use a junkyard turbo. But turbo's are so cheap new nowadays, I just can't justify it. I'd rather have exactly what I want for 550 bucks and be done with it.
