Hi Is all the Z31 a pain in the rear to keep running good. I thank its like th cabin crusier I use to have just a big hole to trow money in.I have 2 1985 300 zx's one turbo and one non turbo both automatics .Now I know why there is so many parts for 300zx's on e bay they can't keep them running and a lot of suckers to buy the parts. (like me).Seems like I get one thing fixed and somthing else goes wrong.

That must be why it seems like everyone has a parts car also.bad Z31 day. Danny

PS This has always been my dream car (nightmare) Does the Z32 seem to have all these problems?Seems like a pullet proof motor but its everything that is bolded to it that has the problems. Then theres thew rust problem.WOWTake care friends Danny

when dealing with neglected 20 year old cars your gonna have a bit of problems, the z32's have their share of quirks but the bottome line is a well maintained car tends to be less problematic, it's ofter cheaper to pay more for a car in better condition to start with, as the parts tend to cost more then the danged car, and yeah my father used to say a boat was a hole in the water to throw money in, I aften say I have a hole in the garage to throw all my money into

We often fix old cars for fun and enjoyment, like a hobby. I didn't buy my Z31 to drive daily, I bought it as a project; something to keep me occupied. The common mistake people make is taking a 10+ year old car and trying to turn it into a daily driver; I made this mistake when I was 15 by dumping $3500 into a 1987 VW GTI, only to have everything I didn't replace fail within one year (then it rotted out). I've learned from my mistakes and bought a humble 2007 Nissan Versa as a workhorse, and only take the Z out on weekends. I chose a Z because I've always wanted one, and even took on a second job to pay for the necessary repairs.
