I picked this 86' 300zx up for my daughter and everything worked well until one day the headlamps were turned on (low beam,) they lit momentarily then the drivers went out she turned them off and back on and then the passengers failed to light, and has not lit since. I told her to drive it to work using the high beams and this worked for one day only. Day 2 the driver's high beam lit on the way up and then went out. Currently she only has passenger high beam and I'm concerned obviously with the weather and fog setting in. Does this problem sound familiar, such as the light switch on the column or could it be the harness's or connectors down on the flip up lights. Thanks in advance, Bob

replace the head light switch assembly. This is the solution for 95% of the Z31 headlight issues.

All's well. Easy R&R, and everything worked off the bat!
Thanks for the help,
