Z31 Dyno Results

We had our local Z club dyno day today and I ran my Z31 as well as my Z32 but I'll detail that in the Z32 Section. Anyhow this was my GRM challenge car which was built for about $1300, the single largest purchace was a donor engine with fresh heads, JWT 420 injectors, and a turbonetics T04B compressor on a stock turbo, I'm running megasquirt n spark, 24 psi of boost, no air filter and wide open exhaust, the result......

315 whp at 4500 rpm

and....

415 lb/ft TQ at 3600 rpm... at the wheel!

Very cool. Interesting numbers. How high did you rev it? The HP seems rather low compared to the torque numbers.

yeah well I had a hard time getting it to rev past 5000, felt like hitting a wall, it was a bit rich in that range but I rather suspect the HEI module being saturated, I'll have to check and see if my datalog worked at all, the crappy old laptop wasn't exactly working great
