Today i was working on the z a bit flushed the transmission and the diff still working on the oil leak i got alot of the grease/oil cleaned up

im thinking it may be coming from the oilpan gasket so when i change out the rack and pinion and drop the oilpan ill change the gasket if its still leaking where should i go from there ?

I've nto had any leak problem with any of my Z31's other than the rack and pinion leak due to boneheads using power steering fluid instead of atf, other than that mine have al been leak free

Nothing is common on a car that's been properly maintained.

However....

The valve covers are prone to coming loose. Tighten the screws holding them down.

The front cam seal on the right side head is known to leak if it isn't replaced with the timing belt (do both at the same time anyway).

Power steering rack is prone to leaking from crap getting into it because of torn/missing dust boots.

Rear main seal should always be replaced with any clutch job.
