No one in the 240 forums has an answer for this, what is the size of the z31 brake master cylinder? is it big enough for the z32 brake swap? im looking for it to be 1 1/16.

Thanks!

thanks for the actual numbers!

Will the 1" be good enough for the brake swap? seeing as the stock 240 one is 7/8? sorry if these questions are dumb, but trying to get this right.

well i think all it does is allow more fluid to be pushed with less pedal travel. it may feel a little firmer, but your response will be excellent. the pedal feel with a 7/8" MBC isnt too bad with upgraded brakes, but the difference is as clear as night and day when you combine the larger MBCs with larger brakes (i.e. Q45, Z32, or GT-R brakes).

Many Z31 owners upgrade their front brakes to the Z32 brakes and use their stock Z31 brake master cylinders. Never heard of anyone running into any issues with this.

thanks for all the help guys, the reason i even asked is that i can get a good deal on a z31 MC, and im in the process of getting together all of my z32 brake upgrade parts.
