Hello everyone.

I wanted to know what the pressure was supposed to be on the a/c. I believe my a/c compressor is not shutting off. I recently recharged the system, summer and all. It was converted to r134a a couple years ago.

When I measure the pressure on the low side, do I need to run the engine a little faster? I notice when I rev the engine the pressure on my gauge moves down a bit. It's reading about 28 or so PSI.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't knwo the standard readings off hand but the high and low side readings are to be takin at idle

I'm guessing you filled it wiht one fo these off the shelf cans with a gauge on the can? probably npot he most effective means of measuring pressure

chances are you overcharged the system, I'm not sure if yoiu cna varify that with low pressure gauge only
