Z31 300zx GT-R

There is a lady in my town that drives a z31, its in beautiful condition and it has a GT-R badge on the back of the car...what does this mean? is it a special edition of z31?

I don't believe there was ever a GT-R variation of the Z31. More then likely someone picked up the badge and stuck it on there.

It means the owner is a ricer or bought the car from a ricer.

it means they bought a GTR ebadge at pep boys, I once say a mustang with a GTR badge, the world is full of morons that thing a badge makes a car faster

hears one Evildky- driving on the freeway about 100 miles east of SF in 85 or 86 I ran up on a 70/71 Gran Torino that owner had taken a 3/4" piece of plywood, jigsawed a fricken wing out of it, painted it with bright water colors, wood screwed and nailed it to his da** trunk lid. My girlfriend (car on her side) rotated her head at me with the funniest look of disbelief as I told her "that's what I want to do with this ride when I have the extra cash" Had to give the owner a huge "thumbs up" while we passed! he looked at me so proud to this date I still don't know what to make of that close encounter of the 4th time.later guy, Bob

Yup, theres no GT-R version. They just bought the sticker. If your interested in buying this car, be careful of any homemade, low-quality mods.

sorry had to dig this one up...

the GTR badge obviously means its an AWD Z- someone went through hundreds of labor hours and/or 10's of thousands of dollars to modify it.

oh and the GTR badge adds +15 hp...

actually now that I think of it...If I had the resources/exp and time to do such a swap, I'd do it in a heart beat- just to say I did it. And I'd slap a GTR badge on it just to piss people off...
