It was never offered in the U.S. as a 2+2 and turbo, however, I believe it was offered that way in Japan.

is it possible to swap out the interior of the turbo model with the n/a 2+2 interior and make a turbo 2+2? or has anyone ever tried adding a back seat to their turbo 2 seater?

I don't know much about the Z31's, but the Z32's actually have a longer frame for the 2+2. If you notice on a Z32, the fuel tank filler is behind the rear wheels on a 2+2, and in front of the rear wheels on a 2 seater. Also, the total length is longer on a 2+2.

I don't know that it's the same with Z31's, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was.

no that is why the 2+2's have more seats, 2 seaters' only have room for two. Use some common sense.

Car: should be obvious enough

the 2+2 Z31 is stretched about 4 inches between the B and C pillars the interior from a 2+2 will not fit in the 2 seater. The 2+2 turbo was offered in japan and europe.

If you want the turbo in a 2+2, just do an engine swap. (relatively easy compared to the NA->TT conversion of a Z32)
