Z28 vs Silvia

Hey. My friend at work has a 95 z28 camaro at work with the ls1 or lt1 in it and an automatic transmission. All stock. he wants to drag me. What do u think my chances are? I have a 92 Silvia Q w/sr20det. let me know what u think. prolly 1/4 mile or start from 30mph.

My Brother has a 94 Camaro with an LS1. His is a 6 speed with a computer upgrade and tuned within an inch of its life. He is anal about his performance so its always on the computer get different sensors checked and what not....

anyway, He and the car weight 3800lb ( he goes about 300lb ) and he runs 13.8's pretty much all the time on street tires.

If you could turn your boost up, have an LSD and some sticky sneakers, you should run Mid 13's.

it could be a good race.

RHD Silvia, eh. i bet you get questioned all the time about it. I sure would like one... hehe.

ugh yeah the silvia K's came with the sr20det's no matter what. doesn't mean u can't put a sr20det in a silvia Q. right.

so if u say you have a 240sx w/sr20det.. should i ask why .? and that they come with the ka24? hmm.... think man...

hmm i have the following mod's listed below. i have kuhmo eksta 205/55-15's. he has the auto. no mods. and eagles on his.i'm running stock boost

so you swapped in an sr20det? or turbo'd the sr20de?Sorry, but you have to understand that you don't see many/any REAL silvia's in the USA, and most of those who claim to have them are full of it, we just have to test you to make sure you're legit, and mock you if you are not. It's what we do:D

yeah. it has a sr20det total swap. not an sr20de with added turbo.. i also have an lsd in it...........yes it is the real RHD Silvia.. give me your email and i'll send some photo's to verify

yea, on stock boost, honestly , u stand no shot, however, if ur go to a road course!!!, or have a long interstate run to see who gets the farthest (u get better mileage!!!)

Oh, and I think it would be a close race, but the Camaro would probably win if you're on stock boost. He'll run low 14s, you are mid 14s if I recall correctly...

I've seen the pics:D very nice indeed! and I remember the eBay auction he bought it off of too! so its legit (at least IMO) there was a huge thread awhile back by him asking how to legalize it (how'd that go BTW?)

um. i have to take it to my parents in missourri to get it registered and licensed. iowa is being dumb about it. so i'm taking it down there in a couple of weeks.

My brothers Camaro is good for 155 on the open road. Go for a tight road course where his torque will make corner exit alot tougher.

yeah .. he said his went 155 too. oh well. i think it would be a good race. he keeps on trash mouthing at work about how his "fanta Z" would kick my rice burner azz. i was like. well come out and race.. he's too chicken though. if i don't beat him, it'll be a good race. an eight popper against a four popper seems like he has the upper hand. but i know i can keep up.

Race him anyways, my frinds 97 LT1 ( i think ) got whooped up by me repeatedly at LACR in Palmale. He couldn't break into 14's, so you might as well try.

my friend with Iroc with a i think 350? i think small block runs mid 14s all day on street tires so Im sure LT1 can make it

I say run him and see whats what.Who really cares who wins when its all said and done You have a bad car and he has something you see every day going down the road with a grandmother driving tring to get her youth back.LOL

and camaros and Trans Ams were LT1's from 93-97 and LS1/LS6 from 98-03. Yes there is such a thing as an 03 camaro. Only 500, but they're still there.
