z24 transmission the same as a ka24e transmission?

searched butnuthin need to find out my transmission went out and i can find a hardbody in the junkyard with a manual trans.

I believe the bolt pattern is the same, but whats it going into? I'll be more help with more information.

its a 1990 hardbody with a ka24e 2wd

Should work like a charm then. I have a four speed that should bolt up, but its an older style transmission so I believe the shifter is different and its shorter. If you go to the junkyard just take a measure tape with you and double check on length, you may need to grab the drive shaft too.

what about the auto trans for a hardbody. does the 240 auto work
