Hello everyone, I've found out that my 1985 nissan 720 has low compression in cylinder 3 due to worn piston rings.
(did a wet compression test to prove rings are at fault. Cylinder 3 tested 100psi whereas all others tested 130-160)
I am currently running 10w-40 in the truck. Would switching to a higher weight oil temporarily fix the issue? I've heard that people will run up to 20w-50 in these motors. By the way I live in SoCal so it's almost always hot here.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
