Z24 exhaust question

Postby bylzebub » Sat Apr 02, 2016 9:30 pm

Looking for some advice on upgrading the exhaust on my 1985 4x4.

My current stock manifold is cracked and making entirely too much noise for my liking. So first things first I'm looking for advice on a header/manifold. I'm looking hard at the PaceSetters which basically seem like the only aftermarket option. Anyone running one and like or don't like them? Is the ceramic coating worth it?

After I figure out the manifold I plan on going 2" or 2 1/4" pipe straight back to the muffler and eliminating the cat. So which size pipe would you recommend?

Finally what are some good muffler options out there? Mostly I want better performance if possible but I really don't want this thing loud and annoying so shoot me your options and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Is this forum dead? Anyone here replaced an exhaust manifold before?

I am currently running a stock manifold but ive heard the pacesetters are pretty good though. As for the pipe size i think as long as it stays under 2.5" youre good.
