First post..I live in country South Australia. Had faulty timing chain tensioner, resulted in bent valves. Bought another Z20 head from wreckers. Appeared the same excepting a temperature sensor at top left. this head was slightly corroded so removed bent valves from first head, lapped them into it (used coarse, then medium then fine paste...lot of work)!!!On fitting rocker shaft, found that valves were about 4-5mm longer than original. Was able to unadjust to gain clearance...have just enough of adjuster screw to allow setting of proper clearance. Obviously, the second head must be from a different motor..Z22 perhaps?
Can any tech or clued up folk advise whether to use head with longer valves installed? Advice welcomed .....joniblac
