Hello - I'm new to the forum so decided to post to general chat. I have a replica car that has a Nissan Z20 engine of unknown age. I have two questions: 1) is there any way of establishing the age of the engine and 2) does the Z20 have a timing belt of a timing chain? I'm concerned if it has a timing belt that I should start thinking of replacing it. Thanks

Being an older engine, I'm going to say it runs a chain.
There are chain replacement kits all over the net for the Z20.
Also, the Z20 was produced between 1979, and 1984.

Did somebody close the Datsun forums or something lately?
