Z20 engine swap for a Z24

I have a Z20 engine and found a 4x4 truck in need of an engine.Would the Z20 work in place of a Z24 engine?Both the engine and the trucks are 1984 models.

this has been discussed before... and from what i remember the tranny's are different. you may be able to swap bellhousings and call it good but i'm not 100% sure at this moment

Yeah, the trannys are different. You would need to source the bell housing for the 20, but other than that no probs.
