disclaimer: save your "bov's are terrible" comments for that other thread :gapteeth:

z1 discontinued the RFL BOVs and i can't find ones i like the sound of. HKS is too squeaky, Blitz has a nice sound but they're $200 each and don't really bolt up nicely unless i get new pipes with flanges

what about a couple of these? they look suspiciously like the Z1 RFLs.. i'm running stock everything right now, 9psi if i'm lucky

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/30PSI-ADJUSTABLE ... 256f4cb0b9

the thing with these though is.. the 'bottom' piece (not the side with the black rubber bands) that you attach to the bov so you can ram it into the hose where the recirc valve comes off of.. wouldn't that leak like crazy?

never had so much trouble trying to make a car go PSHEEWW before :chuckle:

I always thought that Z1 RFL's were just Turbo XS RFL's? They look the exact same. My friend had the XS RFL on his 3000gt vr4 and that b**** was loud! I'm going to be getting 2 of them for mine after i figure out my injector problem

I'm actually almost certain that the Z1 RFLs were NOT the TXS units but the knockoff ones.

i read some posts about the z1's leaking air, although mine were tight.. if i get these turbo XS rfl's they come with a weld on adapter, i assume that's the tube-looking piece i jam into the recirc hose.. i'm a little short on welding gear where i live, can i use anything else to seal it?

from what i remember, the adapter is a ring about 2" long and 1" wide that fits into the bottom of the bov and these alan keys tighten it up so it's in there good, but obviouisly not air tight..

I think the best thing to do in your situation is to to tap a thread on the ID of the BOV and find a collar that will fit perfectly inside and tap a thread on the OD of the collar. I've got the knockoffs and I havent had a problem with leaking before, granted they dont have too many miles on them.

i picked up a couple TiAL's from hongkong.. i'm going to go out on a limb and say they're knockoffs considering the price for 2 was about half of what the price of 1 is in canada.. we'll see how it goes, otherwise i'll have to wait until next summer for real Blitz ones when the car is paid off

Also since they are from Hongkong that tells you that they are most likely knock-offs.
