Z Tube?

Could be a very stupid question but, instead of a Z Tube, why not put on any other tube that fits, drill a hole on the top for what ever that air hose is for, get a fitting for the hose, and your done..???

Sounds to easy. Must be a reason it wouldn't work.

You can put anything on there. As long as it is snug on the engine side and air tight as it leads to a filter. I think OEM quality is what people look for.
