Picked up the Z-Tube for my 06 sedan..Now I hear dieseling, a pinging,or a knocking sound, like when you need more octain. I did fill up with low grade last fill but I often use low grade or 92. Todays car so dont "need"high octain they just want there warenties to last I thought. Anyone have this hapen with improved air flow?

use the lowest octane gas you can without pinging, otherwise your power will drop as the ecu pulls timing due to knock sensor activity. newer that have premium fuel recommendations are not for warranty reasons, they are recommended because that is what the engine and ecu configuration was designed around. use good gas-make more power

I use a brand name Prem. in my Sedan.....no pinging.....can not stand pinging.....Prem. in my cobra, and middle grade in my pathy. Pinging is not good....is the sound of wear.
