What effect does the Z-tube have on gas mileage with a stock air filter? Also, what purpose does the extra chambers serve on the stock tube? Are they just for sound or is there a functional purpose for them? Just curious as to the difference in the stock versus the Z-Tube.

I really don't see you getting much out of the gas mileage issue. The G tube has the extra chambers to resonate the sound. The Z tube doesn't have the chambers and should give you a minimal sound change.

its basiclaly just so the engine isnt as noisy, i dont think they really offer much of a restriction themeselves.. but the Z tube is a bit straighter.
