Z trade-in for....

Hey all... I really dont know where else to go... im a lurker on this site but havent posted before... My friend really directed me here to post about this topic and I'm sure I'll be flamed enormous... but here goes...

I own a 2005 35th Anniversary Edition 350z with quite a few mods on it... Its my dream car and I love it so much... But its gotten me into a lot of trouble lately... being bright *** yellow and all. I really dont want to trade it in... and I dont really "have" to. But if I could get something that cops won't spot me out miles and miles away im really thinking of the change...

This is the thing... The one vehicle I would trade this for is a skyline... only in two colors though... Silver or Black... I have to have something thats WAY more mellow then bright yellow...

Does anyone seriously know dealerships that carry Skylines that I could talk to on the phone or somehow contacting them? Any help will be enormous help! Again im sorry for being so stereotypical... asking for a Skyline... but im a Autocrosser and I'd love to get an AWD car and not something as common as a evo or sti ...

Keep the Z, you love it keep it. If the cops and punks harrass you then paint it an understated color and go sleeper.

HAHAHA you want a Skyline Good luck on that You see Most owner don't want to sell. Fl has a Nice GTST and I knew a Guy who Sold A R32 GTR vspec II for like 12K I was Silver to ZEN motorsports in Alabama.

Seriously...Paint it another color. If you love the car that much just repaint it and have a ball, you said it yourself, it's the loud *** color that's attracting the cops.

Paint it black, dark blue, silver, or white....and get a TWIN TURBO KIT

I agree. Your ride is pretty sick man. I love skylines and have been going mad over getting one, but since you already have such a hot ride just keep it. Im actually looking at the Z as my alternative to a skyline. Us stateside guys are in a bit of bind as far as getting legal ones go( those of us who dont already own one.) But u know if u still want one RBMotoring has an R32 GT-R VSpecII in the states pending its legalization for 40K. Might wanna check that out. Best of luck

I almost bought an anniversary Z just before I bought my GTO. Skylines are great but in my opinion I would just slow down a little or repaint the Z. You would probably regret giving it up and a Skyline, to me at least would get me in even more trouble, believe me I own a YELLOW one !

ha thanks all for the comments! I truely love the Z and I dont want to get rid of it really... its just the ticket problem and the color attracting a lot of police attention ... The new Tein flex's on it make it just sick out there autocrossing!! But the trade would still be out there for a beautiful R33 or R34... I doubt a trade like that would ever come my way but here in michigan there are 0 and it would be sweet to own!

You know...your car might be a ticket magnet, but if you have nothing done to your car that is illegal, whats the big deal. Carry copies of all your recipts with you and if a cop pulls you over, show them and also show them that it's 50 state street leagal. They might try to burn you, but there is nothing they can do. If you can pass smog....likely you don't have that in Michigan, then no worries.
