Just wanted to re-introduce myself- been here awhile, initially with my first super-white 2+2 and then with two consecutive s13's. Well, it just wasn't the same and I return with another 2+2- 90 Cherry red pearl 5spdBrought her in to Z-car atlanta yesterday just for a reminder of how expensive owning one is (especially the work you can't do yourself)Car needs more work still- first thing is- I dont believe the timing belt has been done in a very long time- although the water pump looks a week old- who changes the water pump and puts back on the old timing belt????

I noticed that since it came from the shop, the oil pressure gauge has slowly dropped to just above zero at idle. At speed, I've seen it reach just above 60.I just bought the car, but i thought I remember the oil pressure gauge showing too high at idle before I took it in. The only thing the shop did to the engine was change the rear main seal and clutch.Any thoughts? I know these are pretty notoroiusly unreliable- do i just assume its a bad sending unit?

sweet car man, you like the 2+2 over the 2 seaters? What are your plans for it?

actually, the guy selling the car advertised it as a two seater, and i got excited about the change- he was just a moron that didnt realize you could buy a Z in any other form.Had to travel at the last minute with some friends tho, so I am realizing that having the rear seats (as small as they are) is a good thing.Just detailed it, its so sad to see a Z that wasn't taken care of. Clearcoat scratched all over from apperently washing the car with a sheet of sandpaper or something. Scratch-X thankfully got all that out-So, first plan is to make it perfect again, then do suspension mods- my s13 was set up to autocross STS, so deciding whether or not to keep the Z in stock class.I always liked the idea of doing a TT swap with a 2+2 or slicktop- so when I know enough to try that and have the money I'll give it a try- but thats more distant future

NICE!

Sounds like your plans are good ones.

Good luck with your new car.

Would the TT swap put you in street mod or would it be concidered "up-dating"? lol.

the RB was never competitive with the setup I had, but it was fun. Never mastered autocrossing a turbo car though. I was always waiting to spool when I needed the power and fully boosting an instant before hard braking.I have a huge amount of respect for drivers that successfully autocross turbo cars

Thats the same story I hear from all the suby STI guys, but they are fast non-the-less. I look up national street mod final standings, all the top cars were 1995 M3's, followed by swapped civics and assorted 3 series and m3 bimmers.
