I've been spending quite a while trying to figure this one out. I bought an AC Delco 17/16 Z master cylinder for $70 on eBay back when I was getting everything for the Z brake swap together. Before I purchased the MC, I checked with the seller that it matched up to the part number of the MC that should have the line seat in the middle input line (if anyone is familliar with Z masters, they'll know what I'm talking about).

It took a hammer and a torx socket, but I finally got the plug out and unfortunately found out that it had no seat. So I was told a lie, big deal. I remembered Al from Importnut had done a Z brake swap write up and he simply cut a seat out of his old S14 MC and put it in the new Z MC. I didn't feel like cutting my MC up just in case, and found a junked up S13 MC for free. The seat goes in, but it unfortunately has a smaller diameter than the Z seats.

Being glad that I didn't tear up my MC to find this out, I've been driving around until last week trying to figure out a good solution to my problem. I have a friend who works at a nissan repair shop and we've been waiting for a Z car to roll through needing new hydrolics of some kind. Last week, he had a Z31 roll through needing a new brake master. I nabbed the old one and took it to the band saw. That seat has the same diameter as the S13, but is thinner in the sidewall area.

I have a few options left. Option 1 is to locate a junked up Z32 master and chop it up, or I can go with option 2 and run the master with either the S13 or the Z31 line seat. Neither sound appealing, but I'm running out of options (and time will be a factor after the first of the year).

What has been the solution for other S13 owners with this problem?

My solution was to use the stock mc.

I'm sorry I couldn't provide much more useful advice for your situation.

How would buying another Z32 MC help? I dont think any of them had that little fitting. The imputnut wrute-up used a fitting from a S13. Maybe the S13 MC used a different sized fitting than the S14. Maybe you should look for a S14 MC.

charlie. That would be great. Hit me up with your email, and i'll send you an address. I need the fitting before february (beginning of auto-x season), so time isn't really that big of an issue.
