Curious is anyone has heard of these guys and if so how they stack up. I'm considering their SR exhaust manifold (pictured here)

here is a link to their site. Manifold looks pretty good I think, and the price isn't that bad.http://www.zfever.com/catalog/...d=111

....just looking for some feed back.

don't think so....mm, a friend of mine knows some using the ssautochrome manifold and it hasn't cracked yet...has had it for about a year i think he said. And this guy beats up on his car. His is braced however, I'm sure that helps.Has anyone heard of Z Fever Racing, or can vouch for their parts?

93Niss240, Seen your car at Cardomain before. Very nice setup....the car I mean :)

I don't know about there products but I do know they are very knowledgable. There based in Tampa, FL. and built the first SR powered Miata. They also have a Skyline and do lots of tuning. I believe the Skyline is a tommy kaira version. Why don't you give them a call, there nice people.

OBX and SSautochrome are different manifolds.

it is a pretty clean unit. Not to bad for a small setup vs. the 1000 units offered by other companies.

yea but the same design....just like this one

as for the manifolds cracking I know a few people that have ruin them on s13 and s14 sr's and KA-Ts for the past year without cracking/breaking.....but then again I know alot of people that have had them crack.....some do and some don't....either way u look at it all manifolds can crack (especially top mounts, i know this is bottom) even the HKS and JIC's Im sure have cracked....... sp i guess at least this way if it does your not out too much money

In my opinion the OBX looks good but also looks far more prone to cracking. It has multiple welds along the runners as opposed to mandrel bent runners.

the Z Fever racing manifold doesn't have all of those, which is a good thing.

the welding isn't what makes the manifold crack... its the fact that our whole exhaust systems are usually stainless steel and don't have flex pipes in them. the bouncing around of the downpipe/exhaust and the insufficient use of braces puts extra wear on the manifold, which makes it crack.

as long as you put a flex pipe in your downpipe along with braces for the downpipe and manifold, you should be allright. i have one on my car and the power increase is amazing for the cost (~$200)

also if u cut the flange in between the runners it will aloow for more flex too.....like full race.....mmmm....im running my fullrace manifold with no flex pipe and i have NO worries.....haha.,,,,,thing is DIESEL! (the manifold,,,,,haha)
