Im thinking about getting an exhaust system and from what i know about exhaust and all the better the flow and the easier you can get air out of your engine the less back pressure you have so you gain more horse power, so what i was wondering then is in therms of exhaust systems for the Z what would you prefer something like the nismo exhaust that has dule pipes that go into one muffler or a true duel exhaust that is two pipes with its own mufflers and everything else so which is best for the Z, also if anyone could tell me in there opinon which ones on the market they would pick right now for highest prefomance but that same Z sound everyone loves i would really appriciate it.

With the true dual exhausts you will get more power out of them. There are three that I would consider: HKS, Invidia, and Stillen. If youwant to keep it sounding stock I would go with the Stillen one. I personally am going to go with the HKS carbon-ti exhaust or the high power one if I can't find the first one.

So the Stillen pretty much sounds like the Z but probably a bit more agressive? Then what do the others sounds like? The reason i want it to sounds like a Z is because they sounds in a way exotic im not sure its hard to put your finger on it but i know when it goes by people it deffinatly turns heads, What i want to stay away from tho is that little ricer sound it sounds cheep and every time one goes by it makes me laugh the other exhausts arnt ricer ones are they? Do you know which out of the ones you recomended will yeild the most power?

I have the Stillen true dual system on my 07 and it is awesome. The fit and finish is really good and the tips are far better looking than stock. More important, under hard excelleration it sounds like a baby Ferrari. Glad I got it over the Nismo which is what the dealer pushes. HKS with the burnt tips is another one to consider.

Ya nismo isnt a true duel so it could never be as good it sounds alright but from what your saying im deffinatly going to want to lookin into stillen then cuz the sound of a baby ferrari sounds pretty good to me.
