yeah the S130's are getting fewer, the turbo cars were cheap enough poeple get running cars and took pulled the drivetrain to swap into the earlier cars, and the Starman conversion could be 87-89 unless you know something I don't ? and you didn't take a pick of the black primered S130 parked next to it?

Nah it didnt impress me we have variations of Z's all over in service. The 280 for sale I mentioned awhile back is still there too. I just took pictures of the cream of the crop. The conversion we are going to be doing the injector campaign on. hasent been done yet. I mey end up getting that job, dont know yet. I am hella busy at work lately, got a murano cyl head to do first, due to it sucking a power valve screw and cracking a valve guide when it jammed a valve. Right before I took the pictures I had just worked on a 87 t-top 300z. I have a 91 twin turbo out back with a full body kit that needs a ton of work, she is trying to sell that one. I keep giving her estimates for different parts of the work and she keeps putting that off and asking about the other repairs she might need. I have spent quite a bit of time diagnosing problems with it but havent actually had her say she wants any one of them done yet. The cars been there over a month...lol

can you e-mail me with the VIN of the convertible? I'm trying to keep a list of the R.Straman convertible conversions. I would greatly appreciate it. That one looks nice and clean.

e-mail: [email protected] BTW: I see the second one's cousin every time I walk out my front door:

Were you aware of the Sparton II conversions on the Z31?

but of course! Right after I bought my first Z31, I saw one of them at the local new car car show here in Phoenix. Didn't think anything of it until I glanced at the door handle and recognized it immediately. Then the door, window, windhield, all jumped out at me and I had to get a closer look.

Were you the guys who did the injector work on the German guy's car recently?

edit: BTW, the same company did the Spartan I conversions on the 280ZX models. Good thing about them was the availability of a turbo in the 2+2 configurations.

I did 2 of them when I was at the folsom lake dealership. 2 different owners a few months appart. That was probably back in 2002. I know it was before I was on NICO.

phew, at least that white one isnt a shiro Z, i would have murdered someone for sacrificing an ss to that. that would also be a nice list, of shiro z's. would be a maximum of 3-400 long.

I think that would actually be really cool. To have an SS convertible. But that's only cause I've seen pictures of an AE convertible.

The list of SS's? There were 1002 made for the US and 75 for Canada. 424 of them were registered in the last two years as far as the VIN checking sites can determine.

Az do you have the numbers on the Z31 spartan? I was told it was in the 500 range. You seem to have a bit more reasearch into your numbers then who gave me the info.

Yeah, but I've never heard numbers quoted for the Spartans.

I'd guess under 500 just due to the price.

Actually when you open the hood its like looking under the hood of a 300z. There is no difference powertrain wise to a stock 300. Basically its all 100% rice...lol
