For those interested in the Dragon trip to TN/NC in May, I've done some digging.

The event organizers of ZDayZ at the Dragon have a website, http://www.zdayzevents.comThey are going to be there May 20, 21, 22, that's the weekend before Memorial Day weekend.

They have a block at the Fontana Village Resort (http://www.fontanavillage.com). Fontana has rooms with single king beds, two double beds, a few poolside suites, and several cottages of various sizes (bunk bed sleeping for 6-12 in most). The regular prices for rooms at Fontana are $79 a night for weekends. Lodges and cabins you have to call, and will vary depending on which one you reserve.

The group rate is a 20% discount, so we're looking at $63.20 a night per room.

There are a lot of activities available at Fontana, including hiking, crafts, horseback riding, and a lot more. Rafting is available nearby, and Gatlinburg is only 60-90 minutes away.

The drive from Louisville to Fontana is approximately 5 hours, and we actually pass through the Dragon on the way in. There is a restaurantat Fontana Village. They have a breakfast buffet every morning for ~$8, along with lunch and dinner off the menu ($10-$20 for an entree,if I remember correctly).

Nearby restaurants, well, not a whole lot. There is some fast food, a Mexican place, and an Ingles grocery store in Robbinsville, which is~20 miles. There is a loop route that's popular to take that runs from Fontana to Robbinsville, then over the Cherohala Skyway to Tellico Plains, where they stop for lunch. There two nice restaurants in Tellico Plains.

Anybody interested in going should make their reservations now.

I have driven through it once, its pretty sweet. But I thought it was more than 318 corners. But needless to say its a really rush on a bike, and I bet its just as much fun in a car.
