78 was the first year for black? I didn't realize that one. I kne Andrew's 70 was repainted, but didn't know that all the other early Z cars that I have seen in black were repainted too. That's good info to know.evildky wrote:fuel injection was added in 74 halfway through78 was the first year black was offered on a Z car86 added the third brake light and a slight update tot he design and all models got 5 lug wheels87 more updating to the styling and the first factory LSD units came on the turbo cars

This is incorrect. The first year Nissan sold a convertible Z was 1993. Prior to this, all convertible Z's were conversions. Most were done by R.Straman Co.jEzTeR wrote:91 convertible

What Nissan publication?zcca.org wrote:1993 - First year a convertible Z is offered, available in non-turbo models only, adding 210 pounds to the car.

You could always ask a Z32 specific site if you don't believe me.
