Can anyone here give me a hand on this... i just finished swapping in z Brakes, BMC, and Booster, but when i put the wheels back on the car i used a pry bar to apply the brakes so the hub doesnt move... but i notice the pass side isnt applied and the hub still spins, then I start to take the car on a test drive i find the drivers front wheel, is locked up. I crack open the bleeder valve to relieve pressure but it locks back up...i bled the brakes and bench bled the MC, still locks up i'm using a 1in BMC... so if anyone ran into problem or knows wat the problem is please lemme kno... thanx

sounds like the caliper is bad or the bmc. does the pedal come back up when you let off the brakes?

When you say it locks up, do you mean that it doesnt budge at all? As if you were trying to test drive it, but the caliper is stick on the rotor, not even allowing you to test drive?
I ran into this problem, It turns out I used the wrong bolts for the caliper and the bolt was actually stuck on the rotor, not allowing me to drive the car. So give that a check. However I;m not sure about the other problem your having with the other caliper. Did you get all the right parts, the z rotors, z calipers, and z to 240sx conversion lines?

i hav a good pedal, no spongy, responds right. when i say locked, the pads are applied to the rotor but doesnt let go unless i crack the bleeder open (i've bled the brakes like 3 times already).

hmmm, The only thing I can think of is a bad caliper to be honest. I'm really not sure what would cause it to NOT let go after the pedals comes back up. Are you sure no lines are clogged? Are they on correctly? the bleeder valve should be on top, if they arent, then the air that could still be in them could get stuck on the top of the caliper because the air will go to the highest point it can. So switch sides, THEN bleed it.

calipers are rebuilt, lines shouldn't be clogged, i pretty much bled the brake system to the point of new fluid in the system...

Well Im not sure what you're problem is then. Are you sure you rebuilt them correctly? maybe it has to do with the brake booster? I wish someone else would chime in here, and sorry I can't help you out much,

If it stays locked up, then that means there is still hydraulic pressure to the lines--> to the brake piston. If you say its not your pedal, and the BMC seems to be working fine for other brakes, I'd say its either the conversion lines, or the hardline. It is secluded to only one brake on the car. So something there must be wrong. How's the other caliper working out for you? does it still not apply any braking?

i havent been able to drive it but as far as i can tell all other wheels seem to brake fine, but i'll check out the hard line, all the brake lines were swap too for stainless steel
