Well I'm hoping to install my front Z brakes this weekend (weather permitting) and have been reading up on the swap. "The definitive 300zx brake swap" page has been very helpful in preparation for the conversion. I did remember reading somewhere that there are a few parts of the original 240sx brake setup that has to be reused when swapping in the 300zx units, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. If anyone would care to elaborate on any part of the swap that might make it go much smoother, I would really appreciate it.

Nothing from the 240 brake setup will be used. You should have the 300z calipers, rotors redrilled to four lug if necessary, pads, and brake lines for the conversion. If you have all these items you should be fine. Also have rims that will clear, check before disconnecting the brake lines if you don't know. good luck

yeah, the mounting bolts get reused, but thats it, don't forget to either ditch your splash gaurds, or use tinsnips to cut the edge off. Honestly i would remove them as the tinsnips leave nasty edges on the sheild that would be very easy to get cut on.Hope you got speed bleeders too, because its a biznatch to get all the air out of those 4pot calipers

Nah, no spacers were needed. I saw my exact wheel/offset setup on a 350Z will an upgraded Wilwood brake kit, so I knew it would clear the Z32 brakes easy.

Going to touch up the calipers this weekend too
