Z 24 to KA24E SWAP??

I have one truck that has the Z24 8 plug motor, and would like to swap in a same year (1990 TRUCK) KA24E motor. I am working on a 4wd 1990 w/the Z24, and now want to swap the KA24 into the 4WD out of a same year, wrecked, 2WD truck. ANY HELP WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED. Thanks

I know the bellhousings are the same for those engines. I'm not sure if the motor mounts are exactly the same, but they are awfully similar. I don't know if the 2wd oil pan will clear, you might need to try the 4x4 naps-z pan and see if it will work. The two engines have alot in common, but I can't say exactly because I don't wanna end up wrong.

Thanks for that. I understand not wanting to steer someone wrong. It is a truck I am working on for a friend that was supposed to be a head gasket and went wrong the deeper we got into it. Now we are just trying to get it on the road and sold! Thanks for the reply, I was hoping this was going to be one of those "when I did it, I ran into this". Brad
