I have a test pipe and ypipe question.

I bought a used Helix tp and Japtrix ypipe for about $200 last fall.

Anyways, I finally installed them a few weeks ago. I had all Nissan gaskets and bought all stainless steel nuts and bolts.

Now I understand that after about 3K rpm’s you get the growl… but only at WOT. But, I also get a slight erratic buzzing or sizzling sound at idle around the area where the ypipe meets the exhaust. I was thinking maybe is the gasket not lined up correctly and it’s vibrating causing a tiny exhaust leak? Or is this common? One last question, does the ypipe have any relation to sound, say if I kept that japtrix ypipe and added a high flow cat or resonated tp?

Other than that, I feel a definite response in the lower rpm’s.

In process car-pc, next; suspension…

Not sure but I would assume any noise means you have turbulence in the pipes which can result in loss of hp.

When I put test pipes on my 03 it got a little raspiness above 3500 rpm so I eventually put the cats back in. I would recommend getting high flow cats instead.
