ca's are just cool, 427 has to be my fav engine chevy has made. THat thing had some crazy horse, the old ones that is i dont know about the new ones. Who needs to idle anyways

hehe, sorry. the older "doghouse" air cooled Vee-Dub motors were pretty darn good for what they were. you could bore them out a little, change the heads and make it a 2.2L motor for piss cheap. you can get dual carbs, and some other goodies to make them really damn powerful for the size. i've even seen turbos and N20 kits for them. and the chopped top part, exactly what it sounds like. chop the top down and lower the roof line so it has a more agressive look. and the little buggers are quick with little hp. i saw one for sale that made only 240hp, but it was running 9s with no problems. 180 hp is good for 11's and 12's, maybe quicker.

hhmm lemme see

1. my o2 altima QR25DET, with a nice set of gunmetal volk TE's2. o3 mini cooper with the 8.3 liter v1o viper motor3. 28oZ with 4wd rb26dett4. a 13ooCC hayabusa motor to power the rear wheel of my AWD qr25det/hayabusa motor altima5. and a ferrari v12 powered skyline, preferable an R32 with enzo motor

Hmmm, well stoney stole one of mine! Here they are:

1. Old Mini with a fwd CA18DET2. 1968 Camaro SS...black with white racing stripes, a Merlin 565 ci. engine with standalone fuel management, a dual T100 setup and a reworked lightweight valvetrain for a little bit better revving.3. A miata with a 20b rotary (for the girlfriend :))4. A lotus Elise with some major engine work5. a busa' powered golf cart.

why go through ALL that trouble when a porsche 911 turbo motor will fit in there

haha, true. i saw an old kit car that looked kinda like an old porsche Le Mans car that had a Porsche motor in it. and yes, it would make a better swap with less work.

I buddy of mine had one back in the day when he was in highschool and he said he won every race in that car until one guy in a grand national rolled up with his slicks screwed down on his rims and wanted to race
