hi to all just wondering if i could get some input about this subject. im going to buy a used ka24de cause my rod bearings broke and i want to rebuild but right now its cheaper to get a used engine and put it in. so i will keep the old one and rebuild it slowly. well my question is " is it better to remove the engine from the bottom as most repair books say to or out the top". looking at the set up i would say it would be easier to remove from the top all in one unit (i.e. the transmission still conected). its a 93 fastback manual if that helps. i noticed alot of people when doing the sr swap thats the way they do it. any pointers would be great. ive always worked on my own car, but ive never done a engine removal. thanks any help or input will greatly be appreciated.sorry its a long post

We pulled and put a KA24DE in a couple of weeks ago so you should pull it out from the top.
