Post

I have 2000 Maxima w/ the Bose double din radio. I have a couple of questions. I would like to surf the forums, but I don’t have the time here at work, so…

1) I want to play my plug-n-play satellite radio through the speakers using the aux line. Which device is the best, The AUX NISSV3 from Soundgate, the FMM-100 from Audiovox, the AAI-NIS2 from PAC or the USA Spec PA11 NIS or some other device that I am missing out on. I don’t have an IPod, so I really don’t want anything that may require me to have one. I also don’t have a CD changer, but I do have the CD/CHG button on the radio.

2) I want to change my speakers to and I remember them having a plug. Do the Metra Nissan Speaker Harnesses work and will they fit my 2k SE?

3) Finally, I don’t have a rear subwoofer and I wanted to put one in. I wanted to put one a small 8inch one the deck, but I have heard varying opinions about doing that. What are you thoughts? I really don’t want anything really loud.

Thanks for you opinions and any help you can provide.

1. Soundgate AUXNISS. READ ALL INFO BEFORE BUYING. http://www.soundgate.com/index...rer=1&Some of the products you listed don't exist/will not work for your car.The Audiovox piece is ok but it is not an RCA level input, it is a WIRED FM modulator. 1 billion percent better than a wireLESS FM modulator but not as good as RCA level input. Usually, the output volume of the XM/Sirius units is low so you can also add a PAC Turbo1 to increase the RCA level signal before it goes into the deck.

2. With Bose, you may need to replace deck and speakers at the same time. If so, buy a deck with aux input and forget about #1. 3. 8" woofer in the deck is weak and most woofers are not Infinite Baffle design so they must have an enclosure to work properly. Buy a 10" or bigger and build an enclosure. You will end up working an 8" too hard to overcome road noise and play through the rear deck/rear seat IMO.
