What do you think of that sale? Do you think its worth going to look at? Is the price fair?

If you're ok with the fact that it's an auto, by all means go look at it! Do you have any idea how many miles are on it? Whether it is worth the money will depend upon it's condition when you actually see and drive it. If it's a POS in person, then it's not worth it. But if it's in average to good shape and runs well, then yes, it would be worth the asking price. I would probably go 4k on it myself given an average condition/mileage.

Let us know how it turns out.

I was thinking the same thing. On paper it looks like a pretty reasonable deal, but you won't know untl you see it. New engines are a warning sign to me of hard use or serious front end damage that was repaired. Better check if it's salvage rebuild title. 240sx engines have the reputation of being literally bullet-proof, so I'd be curious why the motor had to be replaced. He didn;t mentioin this was a swap to a fancier engine, If you want an automatic, then it warrants a closer look, and $4K is reasonable if she;s the real deal. Good luck

I decided not to go for it. Its abit out of my price range, and I really don't want an automatic. Thanks for your interest

Cool man. Be patient and you'll find what you really want. Are you open to s13's? There are a lot of nice ones for sale right now if you just know where to look and are willing to travel a bit.

Let me know if I can help and I will gladly steer you in the right direction.

2 days away from your first car. I'll bet you can't wait. Let us know what you get. Hopefully it's a 2003.5 G35 ;)
