Your opinion please on inside lights (colour)

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi all

I have been thinking about changing the inside bulbs who project yellow lights to either blue or red color LEDs, or perhaps white leds. I've read a thread about an owner changing his bulbs to all bright white leds and he says it was to make the inside more "classy". But I am worried that these would be too bright. So perhaps red or blue?

I have a black on black. What do you think would be the nicest? Ive seen blue FX35 on YouTube but they went over board. I simply want to replace the bulbs that we already have...

Thoughts? I am thinking blue because the dash lights are mostly blue.

I changed the lights in the cargo bay to the brightest white LEDs that would fit in the fixture. They're not very bright. In fact I think the yellow ones were brighter. But the white look better. Blue might look nice but they won't provide any illumination.

Kinda what I was afraid of. I know there are several several different options for what you can use in any particular 'outlet/socket' - but would you mind sharing which ones YOU used? (how many LED's were in that one particular light you replaced? is it a wedge or a 'tube' with lights all around it?) can you post a link?
I am wanting the better looking whiter ones also .. don't mind them being not as bright for the front doors ... probably willing to sacrifice a little brightness for a better/newer look in the other locations.

THANKS!

I tried to find the receipt for the lights I got but no luck, I don't think I saved it. If you search this forum for "+LED +cargo" (without quotes) you'll find some posts on it. I think I used the 6-festoon tube that you'll find pictured in one of the posts. The specs call for 31mm but the 33mm will fit and have 2 more LEDs. I think I got mine on Amazon but could have been ebay. Some people replaced all their lights with LEDs but I just did the cargo ones because the other fixtures seemed harder to remove. Maybe some day I'll do them all.

Thank you. I will tackle this one day soon... two in the hatch area, two front doors and 4 overhead lights - all would look better in white.

I also notice two very dim lights (yellowish) that shine in the footwell area. I'd like to change those to blue or red - also the one LED light up top by the map lights - like that one to be blue too (like the RDX's 2 blue ones they use)

:)

XIS,

When you do so, would you mind posting the bulb numbers and the site from where you got them? Also a few pictures would be nice as well. I like your idea of mixing white and blue except for the front doors - if white, the blue on the footwell would perhaps not stand out as much as if you had the doors and the footwell blue? I don't know. Oh and let us know how difficult it is to remove the plastic cover of these light (notably as well the LED light up on top by the map lights.).

Ice
PS: Don't forget the 2 lights over the rear doors as well.
