Your opinion on rims...

I was thinking about new rims, but then I realize I have very little money. So, I had an idea, why not paint the rims I have now...

I was thinking of getting them powder coated completely black. What do you think of that? Here is a picture of the rims I have now:

well since you said that you are short on cash..why don't you just paint them? I personally dont like black rims..they look empty unless there is a chrome lip. I like gunmetal better. offtheline painted his and I think it looks really slick. Here's the link

My car is the same color as this:



I love the way the wheels look, and it seems like a powder coat would leave a matte surface, which is what I want...

Im not a fan of those wheels... but anything you could do would prolly make them look better

has anyone painted the stock mesh off a g20/180sx/ s14 base. i have some and are debating on painting them and i would like to see a pic before i do.

I have seen those S14 base wheels w/ the center cap removed and painted gloss black. Looked HOT!!

Hmmmm I think I will paint them black... Gloss or Matte finishCenter Cap or No Center Cap

I'd go for no center cap. Maybe leave that center area unpainted, and the rest black. I'm pretty sure I saw that once and it looked good. I have trouble remembering yesterday though, so take what I say lightly :(

newer mustang GT rims (17"x8") aren't that bad looking--if you have 5-lugs. i got my set for $75 shipped.

the 94-98 cobra rims are nice, but they will be more expensive

I have 4 lugs :(

Anyone know of any stock alloys that are 4 lug? I don't of any...
