I wanted to see your setups and total cost. I'm planning on going Ka-t as soon as i get a job and the money. I've put one together and it was around $4,300.

For everything? Like Fuel system too?

I've gone through a couple ideas and so far my setups (just pricing them out) end up being around $3,750-$4000, give or take $100

Which only includes AEM EMS, AMS Fuel System, Turbo(either t3 stg 3 50 trim .63 a/r, or a gt2876r), manifold (ebay t3 or ebay t25), tial bov and tial wastegate and a ebay front mount kit. I Haven't figured exhaust into the equation... it varies a lot depending on company.

AEM EMS=1400+200 for AEM UEGOGT28 Style turbo + ebay manifold=1400 aboutT3 50 trim .63 a/r with ebay manifold=800-1200 depending on manifold and where you get the turboAMS fuel system with steel braided line, walbro, injectors, rail, fpr= 730

The one t3 manifold that intrigues me a lot is the obx manifold that has the wastegate dump tube re-routed back into the exhuast pre-cat. about 500 bucks but I think it'd be worth it as long as it is cleaned up and checked for bad welds.

I however have not even bought my 240 yet... so take this with a grain of salt

I believe if you want to go the cheaper/slower route you can get the JGS kit for like 1700, fmu, injectors and walbro for around 500-600. Then ebay exhuast and intercooler kit, a different maf and an ecu tune for 500-700.so 3000-3300?

Let's see...~1700 for JGS kit. Mani, turbo, elbow, wastegate, dump, oil lines...~500 for a Greddy M-Spec intercooler kit, HKS SSQV BOV~900 for fuel system (740CC injectors, FPR, gauge, pump, etc.)~150 for Z32 MAF with pigtail~500 for Enthalpy ECU tune~200 Air filter, oil, etc.~300 Spec Stage 3+ clutch kit

And who knows how much for other clamps, couplers, and little odds and ends over the last year or two...

So roughly, ~4250, plus the built engine because mine was crap, then the wheels/tires/brakes to use that power... I'm probably $10K into my car, minimum.

I'm with you on having a somewhat unhealthy amount of money in her, probably past 10K myself at this point.

I've forgotten exactly how much the first turbo set-up I put on cost...but it was on the cheap. Used parts and all, just cobbled together...still around $2500. Then the first motor build, new turbo, intercooler, ECM....about $4000. Blew her up, and this rebuild cost me around $3500, but I reused the turbo. Then there's the brakes/suspension stuff.

I'm kind of depressed after adding that up...but I know there's some into their car's for far more. Hell, I spent that much doing all but machine work myself...probably would have been double that!

Theres a saying...

If I had all the money I've spent on cars... I'd spend it all on cars.

Lets see.. A fully built motor from the ground up. Doo-dads here and there.. yadda yadda.Quick figures. And this is the big stuff.2,200 for Car1,100 for GT2860RS that I wasn't happy with1,200 for GT3076R currently on there.300 driveshaft400 ACT Extreme Clutch200 Flywheel350 Injectors100 Fuel Pump and Wiring Kit100 FPR200 Fuel Fittings and Hose100 Z32 MAF250 FMIC and parts150 Manifold300 Exhaust

Other things on the car..450 adjustable suspension arms400 struts springs400 wheels200 Q45 brakes

This doesn't count the 3-4k that's inside the motor. Balanced rotating assy and all. Cams, porting, polishing, etc

I think I got 12-14k into my car, ballpark. I'm going to blame my divorce on this car.. At this point though, I'm sure I could build this car again for about half of that.
