I definitely agree with you on that one. The Celica is in great shape, bone stock with only 115k miles (hence my trouble deciding). I appreciate your insight!AZhitman wrote:That's a simple one - project cars are for people who have all their other responsibilities covered, so I'd definitely recommend offloading the S13.
Is the GTS in good shape? I'm not sure how reliable they are, but I'd say if it's paid for, drive it until there's nothing left, and save money like crazy until you're done with college and employed in your field.
Good luck - It's tough to wait, but there's a lot of people out there who have ruined their credit (and their future) by thinking they can handle a project car in your situation.
Welcome aboard, too!
Honestly though, I don't think its a project car, its stocker than stock and has basically 0 issues. I just had the valve cover gasket replaced and my mechanic said that the engine was totally mint. Now all of my buddies are saying to keep the 240 as wellAZhitman wrote: It's tough to wait, but there's a lot of people out there who have ruined their credit (and their future) by thinking they can handle a project car in your situation.
The Celica I could sell for probably around $5500. With the 240 I would be lucky to get the $3500 I payed thanks to the fact I was just introduced Mr. Dent...AZhitman wrote:Ah - Well, with that being the case, the 240 is pretty much bulletproof as well, and you have the added advantage of having us here to help you with any maintenance / repairs.
Can you offload the Celica for more? The 240 is a fine DD as well.
